The Bishkek City Court upheld the decision of the senior investigator for especially important cases of the State Committee for National Security Erlan Akynbekov, and prohibited the general director and chief editors from disclosing information about the criminal case initiated under the article «Propaganda of War» against the editorial office of 24.kg. Earlier, the editorial staff tried to appeal against the investigator’s decision in the court of first instance as illegal and unjustified. However, their appeal was denied. On January 15, SCNS officers came to the editorial office of the 24.kg, searched the office for several hours, confiscated documents, news agency equipment, personal phones of the staff, and took the director general and chief editors away for questioning. The editorial office was sealed and access of the staff to the building was prohibited.
