The journalist Usmonzhon Kodirov was detained by a law enforcement officer for allegedly being in a public space without a mask. The Fergana City Administrative Court found Kodirov guilty of offences under article 54, part 1 (violation of the rules for combating epidemics), article 183 (minor hooliganism) and article 194, part 1 (failure to comply with the legal requirements of the internal affairs officer) of the Administrative Code. The real reason for the detention was a post on Facebook about the involvement of medics in work preparing for the presidential visit. He was arrested for 15 days.
