The former deputy of the Kazakhstani lower house (Mazhilis) Tanirbergen Berdongar turned to the 2nd regional court of the Almaty district of Nur-Sultan with the demand to hold legally responsible the leader of the “Ne Molchi” (“Don’t be quiet”) movement Dina Tansari for libel (Article 130 Part 2 of the Kazakhstani Criminal Code) and defamation (Article 131 Part 2 of the code). The stated reason was her posts on Facebook, where she complained about Berdongar’s involvement in the “Talgo case” when he offered his channel as a platform for the relatives of conductors accused of rape.
