In Moscow, the 2nd Western district military court sentences Mirzehanov to 10 years in maximum-security. He was found guilty of participating in the activities of a terrorist organisation (Part 2 of Article 205.5 of the Russian Criminal Code). The prosecution’s case was based on the testimonies of two witnesses, who said that Mirzehanov pressured them to go to Syria and join IS in 2014.
