Radio Azatyk journalists were obstructed while trying to film an arrest at an anti-nuclear protest on the 6th of October. Azatyk reporters were covering the protest and following activist Elvira Bekzadina as she headed towards Zhastar palace square, designated as the protest site by movement DVK, banned in Kazakhstan. After a few blocks, Bekzadina was arrested at a crossroads. The crew was prevented from filming this; at that exact moment, a Sprinter van stopped in front of the cameras to block their view. Immediately after, someone jumped into a minivan behind and both cars drove off.
