The news website TUT.BY, as well as any proxy sites, were blocked by decision of the Ministry of Information. The site is also unavailable for users overseas. The Ministry of Information stated that the decision was made on the basis of a notification from the Prosecutor General's Office: “The Prosecutor General's Office has uncovered numerous violations of the law on the media regarding posting prohibited information in a number of the site’s publications. These materials contain information on behalf of the unregistered BYSOL Foundation.”
