Irina Dolinina and her colleague Alesya Marokhovskaya received anonymous threats via a feedback form on the website of Important Stories. The first message came on March 3, 2023, the second — on August 24. The unknown persons made it clear that they knew the addresses of both journalists in Prague. The next threat to Dolinina and Marokhovskaya was sent on September 14, a few days before they left for an investigative journalists’ conference in Sweden. Anonymous persons wrote: «You know who to tell this to: they can’t go to Gothenburg. Not even for a day».
