The Basmanny District Court of Moscow has sentenced in absentia Yefrosinina to seven years in prison in the case of spreading military «fakes» motivated by political hatred (Paragraph E of Part 2 of Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The court also banned the Ukrainian journalist from administering her Internet pages for three years. A criminal case was opened in April 2022 for her Instagram posts. In March 2023, The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia put Yefrosinina on a wanted list, and in May, the Basmanny District Court of Moscow sent her to a pre-trial detention centre in absentia.
