The “Novy Chas” newspaper received an official warning from the Ministry of Information, signed by Minister Igor Lutsky. The publication allegedly violated Article 38 of the Law on Mass Media, according to which, “... it is prohibited to disseminate information aimed at promoting war, extremist activities pornography, violence and cruelty, or containing calls for such activities. This includes promoting or encouraging suicide or the dissemination of information which could harm the national interests of the Republic of Belarus, or is prohibited by the Law on Mass Media.”
