The Prosecutor’s Office of the Admiralteysky District of St. Petersburg has re-submitted the reports drawn up against former editor-in-chief of Echo of St. Petersburg Valery Nechay and journalist of the project Chronicles Sergey Kagermazov for reposts of the media outlet Meduza, which was declared «undesirable» in Russia. The journalists were charged with cooperation with an «undesirable» organisation (Article 20.33 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation): Nechay — because of a link to Meduza’s interview with cartoonist Oleg Kuvayev about the Masyanya series dedicated to the war in Ukraine, Kagermazov — because of five links to Meduza on VKontakte. The first time the judges considered the materials in late May and returned them to the prosecutor’s office because the journalists had not been notified about the reports. The documents were submitted to the court again on July 7.
