Director of the Ural-based media outlet Vechernie Vedomosti Guzel Aitkulova was summoned to the police to be drawn up a report on «discrediting» the army. The police revealed a number of materials «discrediting» the use of the armed forces. It is not yet known which publications are in question. Aitkulova has to come to the police station on August 9. Aitkulova links the initiation of an administrative case with a series of Vechernie Vedomosti articles on corruption, which featured Vladimir Molodtsov, head of the criminal investigation department of the Sverdlovsk region’s Ministry of Internal Affairs department, and Konstantin Stroganov, head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs department of the North-Eastern District of Moscow.
