The head of the State Security Service, Grigol Liluashvili, filed a claim against the Mtavari Arkhi and Formula television channels for “libel and damages to [his], dignity and business reputation.” Liluashvili accused them of disseminating “false and slanderous information” in investigative reports about the activities of call centres, and his connection to them. In a statement, Liluashvili’s lawyer said he intended to initiate criminal proceedings against the TV channels.
