Businessman Petros Tovmasyan filed a lawsuit against Civic.am in the Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction, demanding compensation and a public refutation of allegedly slanderous information. The lawsuit followed an article published on 1 September, claiming that Tovmasyan operated a beer production plant, but had registered himself as an employee. According to the article, the businessman is hiding taxes from the state, but the State Revenue Committee is not investigating it. The claim is pending in court.
