The website Kloop.kg is blocked in Kyrgyzstan. The decision on its blocking was made by the Ministry of Culture on the complaint of the State Committee for National Security (SCNS) based on the law about "fakes". The reason was the news about torture of the opposition politician Ravshan Zhenbekov in SIZO-1. The SCNS considered that the material «does not correspond to reality and defamates the reputation of SCNB». Earlier, on September 6 the State Security Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic appealed to the Ministry of Culture with a complaint about this article and also another article called «Imperial Kyrgyzstan. Why the Republic supports Russia». The latest material, in the opinion of the special service, "is provocative... against the background of the ongoing military actions between Russia and Ukraine... may lead to inter-ethnic confrontation between Kyrgyz and Russian on the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic".
