The court of appeal rejected the lawsuit filed by former Vladikavkaz mayor Tamerlan Farniyev against journalist Madina Sageyeva. Farniyev filed a lawsuit against Sageeva in 2020, he demanded one million roubles from the journalist because of a publication in the Telegram channel Alanianews24, which, in his opinion, damaged his honour and dignity: it talked about the problems of the Vladikavkaz water supply company after the accident at the Redant water intake, which left Vladikavkaz without water for a day. The plaintiff was unable to prove in court that the Telegram channel belonged to the journalist.
