Anonymous resources published information that the project ElMedia is financed by the ex-chairman of the board of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs Atameken Ablay Myrzakhmetov, who was arrested in May this year. Gulzhan Ergaliyeva, the editor-in-chief of the project ElMedia, denied this information. «The channel was created with joint funds of the two parties, the third founder invited by Duysenbekova (co-founder of ElMedia) had time to participate for a short time, as he was arrested on charges of economic offences.
