The Department of Internal Affairs of the Chekmagushevsky District of Bashkortostan has filed a claim for RUB 62,000 against RusNews journalist Olga Komleva, demanding compensation for the work of 38 policemen at a rally in support of Alexei Navalny on January 31, 2021, in Ufa. The Ministry of Internal Affairs said the policemen were sent to Ufa from Chekmagush, which is more than 100 kilometres away. The lawsuit was drawn up in February, but it was filed only on June 8.
