The correspondent of Ratel.kz Olga Voronko was summoned for questioning at the police station in connection with pre-trial proceedings in a criminal case on violation of privacy and the law of the Republic of Kazakhstan on personal data and their protection (Article 147 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan). Voronko is in the status of a witness with the right to defence. The journalist signed a non-disclosure undertaking. The investigation was initiated on the application of a citizen accused of cattle theft. The journalist covered the trial in his case.
