On June 21, the Supreme Court of Tajikistan satisfied the lawsuit of the General Prosecutor and declared the website New Tajikistan 2 an «extremist organisation», banning its activities in the country. At the same time, all websites and pages in the social networks Telegram, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram of the authors of New Tajikistan 2 were blocked and banned in Tajikistan. The General Prosecutor’s Office of Tajikistan warned of criminal liability for cooperation with the banned website. Participation in the activities of an organisation declared a court «extremist», according to the Criminal Code of the Republic of Tajikistan, is punishable by imprisonment from five to eight years.
