The chairman of the Slonim District Court Aliaksandr Yermolik fined the owner of the website gs.by Yauhen Volodashchuk 90 basic amounts (BYN 2,610) on the basis of Part 2 of Article 19.11 of the Code of Administrative Offences (distribution of information products included in the national list of extremist materials). During the trial, two administrative reports were considered: in respect of the newspaper Gazeta Slonimskaya and Yauhen Volodashchuk. The administrative case against the newspaper and the website was initiated on the basis of the reports drawn up by the officer of Slonim police department Andrei Husar for the publication on the website of June 23, 2020, of the materials of the Internet resource, which in October 2020 the authorities declared extremist. As a result, the court stopped the case against the Gazeta Slonimskaya because the material was not printed in the newspaper, and Yauhen Volodashchuk was fined as the owner of the website.
