On January 25, 2023, during the trials to elect a preventive measure for Crimean Tatars, the police began mass detentions near the building of the Kievsky District Court of Simferopol. The citizen journalist of Crimean Solidarity Kulamet Ibraimov, who was broadcasting live during the detention and recording the comments of eyewitnesses of the detentions taking place, was among those detained.
