The Zheleznodorozhny District Court of Crimea, following a lawsuit filed by the military prosecutor’s office, blocked a news story on the defunct website Newsru.com, which described a report by Human Rights Watch that said that it was illegal to draft residents of occupied Crimea into the Russian army. The military prosecutor’s office considered that reading the news could encourage people «to commit offences that attack the foundations of the constitutional order and security of the state». The court said that «the article does not recognise the results of the Crimean referendum».
