The Nikulinsky District Court of Moscow arrested Ivanov for 10 days under Part 8 of Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation (repeated violation of the rules of holding a rally or picket). The judge allowed him to defend his diploma before sending him to a detention center. Ivanov was detained the day before and kept in police custody until the trial. On March 16, unknown persons painted the door of his apartment with the letters Z and threatening writings.
