Andrey Zakharov said that Tinkoff Bank had blocked his account without explanation. The journalist had earlier been declared a «media foreign agent». He was allowed to withdraw money to another bank. Tinkoff Bank soon asked Zakharov to confirm the origin of the money and that he had bought the cryptocurrency through a verified account. The bank unblocked the account after verification.
