An unauthorized protest action was held in front of the Opera Theatre in Novosibirsk, and participants were subsequently detained. Journalists were among those detained. Bobrovnikov said: «From the side of the Lenin monument, the police began to march in, squeezing everyone who didn’t have time to leave into the center. Then they started taking them in pieces to the police vans. I told the officers that I was a correspondent of NGS and had an editorial assignment and an ID». He said that the law enforcers did not introduce themselves. Later, the journalist said that he was released from the police station at 7:15 PM local time.
