Korostelev and other former TV Rain employees, as well as their colleagues from other independent media outlets, were subjected to a massive spam attack on their mobile phones. They received numerous calls and text messages with registration confirmation codes for various services, including Gosuslugi, banks, and shops. It is believed to be an attempt to hack into accounts. Journalists of Echo of Moscow, Mediazona, 7×7, Bumaga, The Village, and Republic, among others, reported such attacks.
