A court in Moscow has arrested blogger Veronika Belotserkovskaya in absentia on charges of «fakes» about the Russian army. Belotserkovskaya had previously been put on the international wanted list. In March, she was prosecuted for «fakes» motivated by political hatred or enmity (Paragraph E of Part 2 of Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The investigation believes that she had posted publications on her public page on Instagram, which allegedly contained deliberately false information about the actions of the Russian army: its use to «destroy cities and civilians of Ukraine, including children, during a special military operation on the territory of the said state». Belotserkovskaya is outside Russia.
