Following a denunciation by State Duma deputy Vitaly Milonov, Roskomnadzor drew up a report on Radio Svoboda for public dissemination of deliberately false information about veterans of the World War II (Part 4.1 of Article 13.15 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation). The reason was the publication of historian Boris Sokolov on Georgy Zhukov's order to repress the families of Soviet prisoners of war. On January 28, 2022, the Simonovsky District Court of Moscow fined Radio Svoboda RUB 3 millions.
