On March 29, Timur Zhumanov, head of the information portal 7152.kz, was asked to leave the meeting of the Public Council of the North-Kazakhstan region, after the members of the Council discussed several issues. The chairman of the Public Council, Zharasbay Suleymenov, explained this decision by the fact that all subsequent information was «for official use». As it turned out, behind closed doors for journalists, Council members discussed, among other things, retail prices for socially important food products.
