On May 4, Vahan Badalyan, Director of the National Aesthetics Center, filed a lawsuit with the Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction against the editor-in-chief of the news website Hayeli.am Angela Tovmasyan, demanding to pay AMD 1,000,000 (over USD 2,000) as compensation for damage caused to his honor, dignity and business reputation. The reason for the lawsuit was the thoughts of the defendant addressed to the plaintiff at the press conference on November 21, 2021. It is worth mentioning that there is no video recording of this in the website’s archive. The lawsuit is being considered.
