Aizhan Auyelbekova, the correspondent of the newspaper Vremya, could not attend the briefing for journalists on the sugar shortage. The organisers of the meeting, the regional Central Communications Service, had sent her a notification e-mail half an hour before the event. «I have a busy working day and I do not have time to check e-mails every half an hour. I have repeatedly been asking various sources on the subject, gathered information bit by bit, and publicly asked experts on social media for help.
