The Yoshkar-Ola City Court fined Alexey Seryogin RUB 1,500 rubles under Article 20.3 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation (demonstration of extremist symbols) for publishing the banned in Russia symbols «A.U.E.» in a 2019 post. The publication in questions is an illustration to a news story about an attack by teenagers shouting «A.U.E.» to a Moscow deputy. The A.U.E. movement was declared extremist in 2020.
