Vlast.kz photographer Zhanar Karimova was detained in Astana while covering a protest by workers from Mangistau outside the KazMunayGas office. According to editor-in-chief Vyacheslav Abramov, she was taken to the police station, and law enforcement officers confiscated her camera. At the time of her arrest, the Vlast.kz photojournalist was wearing a vest with «Press» written on it and had her ID card with her.
