Blogger Ayim Smagul received threats after she posted a TikTok video defending transgender woman Amilay. In the video, Amilay is surrounded by men who force her to apologize to the Kazakh people for wearing the national costume and participating in a betashar. Ayim Smagul stood up for Amilay and recorded a video asking why these men are not making real threats and making rapists of women and children apologize like this. «They curse me, wish me dead, write bad things about my family, say they will kill me. Some people have found my number and are calling with threats. But I just voiced my opinion», — said Ayim.
