The Rudnichny District Court of the Kemerovo Region sentenced journalist Andrey Novashov to eight months of correctional labor in the «military fakes» case (Part 1 of Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). Novashov was also banned from making publications for a year. The prosecutor’s office demanded 11 months of correctional labor for him. The journalist was accused of ten March publications on VKontakte in which the words «occupiers», «aggressor country», «treacherously attacked», «targeted bombing», «continuous direct military attack aimed at the destruction of civilians», «destruction of civil infrastructure», «preventing the evacuation of the injured, dead bodies and removal of debris» were used.
