Additional information:
Blogger Natalya Zemlyanukhina (Tusya) was questioned by the Federal Security Service in autumn. In November, the Oktyabrsky District Court of the Volgograd Region fined her RUB 10,000 for publishing screenshots of correspondence with her Ukrainian friend on a Telegram channel. The verdict was issued in November 2022, but Zemlyanukhina reported it only in March. The correspondence said that Russians should come out at a rally against the war in Ukraine and «beat down police officers as a response to their attempts to force the participants to disperse». According to the court, the correspondence contained statements «expressing an assertion of the need for Russians to commit violent acts» against a group of individuals «united on the basis of their affiliation with law-enforcement agencies» ("cops», "police officers"). Zemlyanukhina pleaded not guilty and said in court that she had made the publication out of fear for her Ukrainian interlocutors.
