The Primorsky District Court of Novorossiysk sentenced video blogger Askhabali Alibekov, known as «Wild Paratrooper», to one year and two months in a strict regime colony for repeated «discrediting» the army (Part 1 of Article 280.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The blogger’s videos about the war in Ukraine served as a pretext. Alibekov pleaded guilty and asked to consider his case in a special order, which the court refused. The prosecutor asked for one year and four months in a strict regime colony for Alibekov.
