The Pochep District Court is considering the lawsuit of the chairwoman of the local election commission Antonina Gerasimova against local residents Alexandra Suleymanova, Pyotr Kambur, and Siyadat Imurzayeva. Gerasimova filed a lawsuit to protect her honor, dignity, and business reputation because of the video of Pochep People’s Control, in which, in her opinion, a number of accusations were made against her: that she illegally receives payments for living in a zone with privileged economic status because of the Chornobyl accident; that she received a salary but did not show up for work when she was the director of the children’s camp Timurovets; that she built a store on her plot next to the market and because of that nobody checks the quality of products in the store and the store does not pay the market for being on its territory. Gerasimova demands from the defendants to pay her RUB 900,000 and publish a refutation everywhere the video was distributed.
