The Simonovsky Court of Moscow found Novye Vremena LLC, the founder of The New Times magazine, and its editor-in-chief Yevgenia Albats guilty of spreading fake information (Part 9 of Article 13.15 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation) and fined it RUB 670,000. The court imposed two fines of RUb 300,000 each on the founder. The editor-in-chief was fined RUb 70,000. All the cases are related to publications about the war with Ukraine after February 24, but before the adoption of the package of laws on military censorship.
