Roskomnadzor sent a notice to RBC demanding to remove the 2015 publication about Dissernet’s analysis of the PhD thesis of Sergey Naryshkin, then Speaker of the State Duma and now Director of the Foreign Intelligence Service. The publication referred to Naryshkin’s doctoral dissertation, which he defended in 2015 when he was head of the presidential administration. Taliya Khabriyeva, director of the Institute of Legislation and Comparative Law under the government, deputy president of the Russian Academy of Sciences and co-chair of the working group on preparing proposals for amendments to the Constitution, served as the scientific consultant at the time. The Roskomnadzor felt that RBC’s publication contained text and video material «discrediting the honor and dignity of T. Khabriyeva, undermine her reputation and are associated with accusations of committing crimes». RBC removed the article.
