The General Prosecutor’s Office reported the arrest of the head of the Internet channel Səda TV Elnur Shukyurov. During the investigation of the case against previously arrested Avaz Zeynalli and Elchin Sadigov, illegal actions of Elnur Shukyurov were revealed. It was found that for AZD 50,000, Shukyurov helped certain Salman Nasrullayev to obtain the necessary certificate for the privatization of 0.57 hectares of land and a 168-square-meter building in the Surakhany district. On September 14, Shukyurov was prosecuted under Article 312-1.1 (illegal influence on the decision of an official) and arrested. From the report of the General Prosecutor’s Office, it is not clear what relation Shukyurov has to the case of Avaz Zeynalli. It is also not clear how exactly he exerted «illegal influence on an official», as well as who exactly this official is.
