The journalist from North Ossetia was charged under an article on discrediting the army (Part 1 of Article 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation). Ruslan Totrov, the journalist of the media OsNova, told Caucasian Knot that the reports were drawn up against him because of statements about «partial mobilization». The claims were triggered by Totrov’s Instagram stories with a commentary for The New York Times and the journalist’s commentary for Echo of Caucasus.
