The journalist was detained by the police officers who came to the district center with a raid. The law enforcers searched the flat of Leonid Yurik and took him to the police department, where they drew an administrative report on him under Article 19.11 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Republic of Belarus (distribution, production, storage, and transportation of information materials that contain calls to extremist activity or propaganda of such activity). The journalist was sent to the detention center until the trial. On October 7, the court found Leanid Yuryk guilty and arrested him for 5 days.
