On August 18, 2022, the Supreme Court of Crimea considered the appeal against the sentence of the Simferopol District Court against the journalist Vladislav Yesipenko. According to his wife Katerina Yesipenko, the court reviewed the decision of the first instance, reducing the term of imprisonment from 6 to 5 years in a penal colony, also as a punishment the defendant must pay a fine of RUB 105,000.
