On October 31, Irakli Zarkua, the deputy from the ruling party Georgian Dream, attacked Nino Balanchivadze, the parliamentary correspondent of the Mtavari Arkhi TV channel, insulting her during his briefing. He refused to answer the journalist’s question about the opinion of the deputies of the European Parliament, calling it «stupid,» just as he called the journalist herself «a stupid person».
