On November 11, the opposition parties Musavat and Azerbaijani Popular Front held a protest. Journalists preparing reports from the rally, during which more than 150 opposition activists were detained, came under pressure and were not allowed to film. Aysel Umudova, an employee of Meydan TV, wearing a distinctive «press vest,» was subjected to physical pressure and had her leg injured. Another Meydan TV employee, Hayala Agayeva, was also attacked. Her phone was taken away and broken. Independent journalist Nargiz Absalamova was also attacked and hit with a fist. Her phone was taken away and smashed on the ground. Tazakhan Miralami, an employee of Azadlıq newspaper, was insulted and provoked.
