The General Prosecutor’s Office forbade the arrested journalist and head of Xural TV Avaz Zeynalli to hold meetings and telephone conversations with his relatives. The journalist sued the Prosecutor General’s Office in this regard, but the Binagadi District Court rejected his complaint. Subsequently, the Baku Court of Appeal upheld the decision. Zeynalli was arrested on charges of bribery. The journalist’s relatives and his lawyers claim he was slandered and the charges against him were fabricated. The journalist was arrested for four months until the trial.
