Additional information:

The Promyshlenny District Court of Vladikavkaz fined the journalist of OsNova Ruslan Totrov RUB 50,000 for «discrediting» the army (Article 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation). Three reports for «discrediting» the army were drawn up on him for his commentary to The New York Times and his interview for Echo of Caucasus about mobilization in the North Caucasus, as well as for his publication on Instagram. Totrov has not lived in Russia since June 2021. The journalist considers the court decision to be a «precursor to criminal prosecution» — in his opinion, this way, the security forces are trying to prevent him from returning.
