The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus declared the media Euroradio, its social networks, YouTube channel, as well as its informal Telegram channel «extremist formation». This wording means that for subscribing to an «extremist formation,» a person would be recognized by Belarusian law enforcement as a member of such a formation and could be held criminally liable. European Radio for Belarus was founded in 2005 in Warsaw by Belarusian journalists and activists not affiliated with the pro-government media. Mostly, the radio broadcasts in the Belarusian language. Among the values of the radio station are the promotion of democratic values and independence of editorial policy.
