On April 12, Mikhailov’s family’s apartment in Moscow and the editorial office of Listok newspaper were searched in the criminal case opened under Paragraph E of Part 2 of Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation — dissemination of «deliberately false information» about the army, motivated by political hatred. The journalist was detained in Lubertsy and taken to Gorno-Altaisk, where the court sent him to custody. The criminal case was based on publications about «the order of a special military operation» in Ukraine. The search also took place at the apartment of the newspaper’s editor-in-chief Victor Rau in Barnaul.
